On Monday November 1, 2010, Pack 69 Cub Scouts came to visit the Gonzales Fire Department.  The Cub Scouts and their parents toured Station 10 while an explanation of what goes on during the shift, training exercises, chores and the firehouse is just like their homes. It tends to a be a bit larger because the firefighters live here a day at a time.  The crew talked about fire safety, the importance of having smoke detectors at home, a home escape plan, and "Stop, Drop, & Roll”.  Afterwards, they got to see what they came here for and that was the fire trucks! They got to look at the equipment on the trucks, what the equipment is used for and the importance of keeping it in good condition.  Each scout got a goodie bag, a fire helmet and were able to take pictures on the fire truck.
